Advocacy Day: The Importance of Grassroots Advocacy for Sustainable Change in LTC + Legislative Reception

Join LeadingAge Nebraska and our partner Kent Rogert from Jensen Rogert Associates, Inc. for The Importance of Grassroots Advocacy for Sustainable Change in LTC. This advocacy day event in Lincoln will give providers the opportunity to meet Senators, share concerns and engage in meaningful dialogue. Guests from LeadingAge national, our sponsor KARE, and others will lead the discussion in the afternoon before visiting the capitol. The Advocacy Day will conclude with the annual Legislative Reception, a joint event with LeadingAge Nebraska and the Nebraska Healthcare Association. Registration for the Advocacy Day afternoon events is required, as well as an RSVP for the Legislative Reception. Lunch will be provided for Advocacy Day attendees.

12:45 pm - Kent Rogert, President of Jensen Rogert Associates, Inc. – Nebraska Legislative Process
1:15 pm – Kierstin Reed & Kent Rogert – LeadingAge Nebraska Policy Platform and Effecting Change in the Nebraska Legislature
1:30 pm – Walk to the capitol building (approximately 10 minute walk)
2:00 -3:30 pm – Visits to Nebraska Senator offices
4:30-6:30 Legislative Reception at Cornhusker Marriott Renaissance Room, in partnership with NHCA
