Accuracy Matters - Navigating the New MDS Landscape webinar series2024 DATES: April 10-12, 2024, July 10-12, 2024, September 18-20, 2024, December 11-13, 2024. 3 day webinar series, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm CT each day (10-2 MT) The MDS is a critical nursing facility assessment tool that can directly impact resident quality of care, reimbursement, survey outcomes and your publicly posted quality measures. During this three-day virtual workshop, attendees will take a tour of all MDS sections, including review of the steps for assessment of each section, common coding errors and review of systems and processes to better provide for MDS completion accuracy. The final day of the workshop will include the care area assessment (CAA) process and its relationship to care planning, and an overview of the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM). Care Area Assessment Review (CAA) WebinarsNew and veteran nursing home staff have indicated they need more opportunity to examine best practices for improving assessments and developing comprehensive care planning that ensures the health and well-being of their residents. This day-long virtual workshop, designed for the entire interdisciplinary team, will provide a comprehensive review for each of the 20 Care Area Assessments (CAAs), which establish the framework for developing, reviewing and revising residents’ comprehensive plans of care.
