Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care to our residents. This leadership role is crucial in ensuring that our nursing staff adheres to the highest standards of care while complying with all regulatory requirements. The Director of Nursing will oversee the clinical operations within our facility, focusing on our quality of care and nursing home environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a deep understanding of resident rights, and a commitment to upholding HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Manage and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practices within the facility.
- Ensure adherence to Medicare guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through effective leadership and mentorship of nursing staff.
- Conduct regular training sessions to keep staff updated on best practices in nursing management and resident care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote holistic patient care and address resident needs effectively.
- Address any concerns related to resident rights and ensure that all staff members are educated on these principles.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in nurse management or leadership roles within acute care or long-term care settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations, Medicare compliance, and best practices in home health and nursing home operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on fostering positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to analyze data for quality improvement initiatives while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.
- Commitment to upholding resident rights while promoting dignity and respect for all individuals under your care.
Pay Range: $90-105,000

We are looking for an experienced Director of Nursing for our 46-bed skilled nursing facility. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
- Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures.
- Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards.
- Ensure sufficient staffing to meet the needs of the residents.
- Make rounds of the nursing service department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
- Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed.
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations and provide quality care and services.
