LeadingAge Nebraska is always looking for new and innovative proposals from speakers. We accept proposals throughout the year and all proposals will be considered for upcoming conferences as well as other education events. Please use the link at the bottom of this page to submit your proposal.

ALL SUBMISSIONS AFTER NOVEMBER 15, 2024 WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR STAND-ALONE EDUCATION EVENTS OR WEBINARS.

Thank you for your interest in speaking for LeadingAge Nebraska! We are always on the lookout for speakers who have a passion and dedication to educate those in aging services. Any submissions received outside the conference CFP window will be considered for non-conference education events.

Evaluation criteria:

  1. Content includes actionable takeaways that people can apply to their work.
  2. Speaker creates interactive environments that enhance the learning experience.
  3. Original, thought-provoking content that is relevant to the work people are doing right now.
  4. Demonstrates measurable outcomes/results.
  5. If more than one speaker, utilization of a provider member within the presentation - it is best not to have more than 3 panelists for a session.

Audience: We are interested in a variety of presentations focused on organizational leaders, nursing/clinical, human resources, emergency preparedness and planning, assisted living and long-term care/skilled nursing.

Suggested Topics: We have identified the following topics that will appeal to the vast majority of members. Proposals are not limited to these topics.


Future planning and recovery post-COVID  Finances

Effective infection control programs for small communities

Recruiting, training, and retaining qualified and caring staff
 Addressing mental health and depression in residents and staff Trauma Informed Care, how COVID has impacted trauma in our resident population
 Compliance and ethics Creative activity programming ideas for skilled nursing & assisted living
Quality and process improvement in both skilled nursing & assisted living Governance & strategic planning
Technology and innovative solutions - applications and case studies  Emergency preparedness planning
Temp staffing, agency reduction  Culture change and person-centered care
Caring for older adults in a rural setting (transportation, broadband, workforce, etc.)  Legal and regulatory updates
 Guidance for documentation and reporting  MDS changes/updates
 Immigration and workforce  Older adults and sexuality
 Medical marijuana, Delta 8, resident and workforce drug policies  Active shooter and safety training
 Regulations & survey preparedness  Eradicating ageism in our nation

 

If selected to participate in the program, speakers agree to:

  • Incur all expenses related to the development/implementation of their sessions. LeadingAge Nebraska cannot pay speaker honorarium/travel/per diem/other costs.
  • Register for the conference. Speakers are invited to attend the full conference for free, but registration is required so we have an accurate headcount for all meals.
  • Submit session material in digital format through the LeadingAge Nebraska website.

Deadline: All proposals for the 2025 conference are due by November 15, 2024. Please include a resume/CV for each speaker. Registration for conference will not open until early 2025. Proposals submitted after that date may be considered for other upcoming education opportunities.
