JOB TITLE:  Administrator, Custer Care Center, Broken Bow, NE

JOB DESCRIPTION: Organizes, implements, and coordinates the daily operation of the program in accordance with the client’s needs and state requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Shall be at least 21 years of age.   
  2. Shall have had at least two years of formal post-secondary education from an accredited institution of learning and a minimum of 5 years experience working with elderly and/or impaired adults in a supervisory administrative capacity. 
  3. The Administrator must have evidence of completing an approved training for Assisted Living License consisting of a total of at least 30 hours, including, but not limited to: resident care and services, social services, financial management, administration, gerontology, rules, regulations, and standards relating to the operation of an assisted-living facility. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Administration:
    1. Prepare reports and provide information as required by the Board of Directors, funding bodies, regulatory agencies, referral agencies, and others. 
    2. Must complete 12 hours annually of on-going training outside of facility in-services related to client care and facility      management of population served 
    3. Work with the Board of Directors to plan and carry out a public relations campaign within the community. 
    4. Serve as liaison between the program and the community, working to develop cooperative relationship with other community service agencies and organizations. 
    5. Carry out sound fiscal management practices within the program to meet the facility budget requirements. 
    6. Be responsible for the facility’s compliance with rules and regulations. 
  2. Personnel: 
    1. Recruit, hire, and manage program staff (including scheduling, performance reviews, disciplinary action, etc.) 
    2. Plan/provide/oversee staff orientation and ongoing staff development. 
    3. Maintain (cause to be maintained) appropriate records and documents for personnel. 
    4. Maintain staff with appropriate training and skills and sufficient in number to meet client needs as defined in resident service agreements. 
  3. Program: 
    1. Oversee and supervise program provision 
    2. With other program personnel, plan and carry out a program of services and activities to achieve program goals and meet needs of clients. 
    3. Carry out ongoing efforts to recruit, assess and admit clients. 
    4. Coordinate and oversee admissions and discharge procedures. 
    5. Maintain (cause to be maintained) appropriate records and documents for clients. 
    6. Be responsible for the facility’s promotion of clients’ self-direction and participation in decisions that incorporate independence, individuality, privacy, and dignity. 
    7. Monitor that clients’ service agreements and individual care plans are established and implemented. 
    8. Oversees a caregiver support group program for client's families routinely. 
    9. Is responsible for the oversight of the maintenance and repairs of the physical facilities.
